HOLLYWOOD - Drew Barrymore has sparked new romance rumors after she was spotted smooching with Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick at a recent Kings of Leon concert in New York.
Always the fashionable couple, David and Victoria Beckham posed side-by-side as they released their new scents at Macy’s Herald Square on Friday (September 26).Despite the rainy New York City weather, nearly 2,000 screaming fans showed up at the department store for the launch of the couple’s fragrance duo, Signature for Him and Signature for Her.David, who looked handsome in a striped Tom Ford suit, offered up credit to his Spice Girl wife, clad in a Giambattista Valli dress, saying that she was “the brains behind the fragrances.”Unwilling to take all of the credit, Posh quickly responded by saying, “It’s great for me to be able to create a fragrance for him, but he is much more involved than he gives himself credit for. David has such amazing taste.”
Kelly Osbourne has been blamed for a scathing review of her model boyfriend Luke Worrall, after he showed up late to a string of shows during New York's Fashion Week.Worrall was criticised in a recent article on fashion website Style.com for consistently disappointing designers and arriving late for shows.
But according to the New York Post's PageSix, Osbourne's own costume changes should be blamed for keeping the hordes of fashionistas waiting at the events earlier this month.
A source tells the newspaper: "It's true that Luke's been tardy to every show. But it's because his girlfriend, Kelly Osbourne, insists they go everywhere together. She's late because she wants to change her outfit after every show, to get more photo ops in."
Lindsay Lohan has defended her girlfriend Samantha Ronson once again after her estranged father Michael branded the DJ "dark, hideous" and "disgusting".Now, he has once again lashed out at Ronson, claiming her lifestyle and dress sense should put his daughter off pursuing their romance any further.
In a bitter email to X17online, Michael writes, "I don't believe that the recent blogs posted by 'Lindsay' were written by her. There is a lot more to Samantha than meets the eye. Not that what we see is so pleasing anyway... what's with this 'person'? Look at the way she 'dresses'. (Ronson is) dark, hideous and a disgusting representation of humanity.
"Once more, she uses her middle finger more than she uses words. Have you ever seen her apartment? For God's sake, when she runs out of toilet paper she tells people to use the cardboard roll. (I was told this firsthand)."But Lindsay is sticking by her partner, insisting she loves Ronson, and urging her father to take "medication" in a bid to control his anger.
She tells New York gossip column PageSix, "My father obviously needs to be on medication to control his moods. He is out of line and his words show how much anger he has, and it's dangerous and scary as it reminds me of how he treated my mother and I (sic) my whole childhood. He needs to be stopped. This is yet another reason why we aren't speaking.
"My past is behind me, and that's final. There's nothing more to be said. All the false accusations that people try to make are simply because there's no story when things are calm and good.
"But they might as well let it go because their lies don't affect me anymore. Samantha is not evil, I care for her very much and she's a wonderful girl. She loves me, as I do her."
Moviemaker Steven Spielberg has followed in the footsteps of Brad Pitt by donating $100,000 to a campaign to keep gay marriage legal in California.Spielberg and his wife Kate Capshaw gave the cash to the anti-Proposition 8 campaign which helps activists oppose a high-level state vote to ban same-sex marriages.
The vote is due to take place in the upcoming November elections.
Gay marriages were legalised in the state in May.
The couple said in a statement, "By writing discrimination into our state constitution, Proposition 8 seeks to eliminate the right of each and every citizen in our state to marry regardless of sexual orientation. "Such discrimination has No place in California's constitution, or any other." Pitt has also donated $100,000.
Jennifer Aniston is so finished! Why doesn't she stop smoking, have a baby (anybody's baby) and give it up already?!
Well reer. Bad news, too, you acidic little gorgon. Jennifer Aniston has a slew of projects in her future, as both a producer and an actress. That's what happens when your films make bank. (The Break-Up made more than double its budget in the U.S. alone.) Aniston already has three more films in the can and is attached to no less than six upcoming projects—all as a producer.
Oh, and just in case your waxy, stale peanut of a heart is still beating, Mamie: The L.A. Times is already buzzing about an Emmy for Aniston, for her yet-to-be-aired guest spot in the upcoming season of 30 Rock.
When skinny celebs say they don't diet or exercise, are we supposed to think they were born that way? Or does not eating count as a non-diet?
Too many double negatives, there, son. But according to one top tummy-tuck surgeon I spoke with just today, "The celebrities in my clientele, anyone who is on-camera, they are never full. They are always hungry."
Dr. Will Kirby on Dr. 90210...his girlfriend Erin...why is her face so familiar? Who is she?
That's Erin Brodie, who competed on the reality show For Love or Money.
Hi Answer B!tch, last week you said that you attended Madonna's Blond Ambition tour in 1990. I was wondering, will you be attending her Sticky & Sweet tour when it comes to the U.S. starting Oct. 4?

As much as I would love to peep Madonna in that black druid robe, I'll pass. Stevie Nicks did it first.

Music has always been a great healer. In the Bible, we learn about how David played the harp to help ease his severe depression of King Saul . Music is a significant mood-changer and reliever of stress, working on many levels at once.
| Music/Singing Play a tune on the guitar and sing along. That works even in the worst of times. By the time I'm done with the song, I've breathed deep, I've controlled myself to some degree to be able to sing on key :-), and I've come back into myself, and more into the real time moment. Many experts suggest that it is the rhythm of the music or the beat that has the calming effect on us although we may not be very conscious about it. They point out that when we were a baby in our mother's womb, we probably were influenced by the heart beat of our mother. We respond to the soothing music at later stages in life, perhaps associating it with the safe, relaxing, protective environment provided by our mother.
Music can be one of the most soothing or nerve wracking experiences available. Choosing what will work for any individual is difficult, most will choose something they 'like' instead of what might be beneficial. In doing extensive research on what any given piece of music produces in the physiological response system many unexpected things were found. Many of the so-called Meditation and Relaxation recordings actually produced adverse EEG patterns, just as bad as Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. The surprising thing was many selections of Celtic, Native American as well as various music containing loud drums or flute were extremely soothing. The most profound finding was Any music Performed Live and even at moderately loud volumes even if it was somewhat discordant had very a beneficial response. Whenever the proper sounds were experienced an amazing right/left brain hemisphere synchronization occurred. The normal voltage spiking pattern changed to a smooth sinusoidal waveform and the usual voltage differential equalized. The entire human energetic system is extremely influenced by sounds, the physical body and chakra centers respond specifically to certain tones and frequencies. Special consideration should be given to the positive effects of one actually playing or creating music themselves.
Among the first stress-fighting changes that take place when we hear a tune is an increase in deep breathing. The body's production of serotonin also accelerates.
Music was found to reduce the pain during dental procedures.
Playing music in the background while we are working, seemingly unaware of the music itself, has been found to reduce the stress.
Music was found to reduce heart rates and to promote higher body temperature - an indication of the onset of relaxation. Combining music with relaxation therapy was more effective than doing relaxation therapy alone.
Maximizing With Music Therapy
As we mentioned before, there is not a single music that is good for everyone. People have different tastes. It is important that you like the music being played.
The following are general guidelines to maximize the effectiveness of the music.
| To wash away stress, try taking a 20-minute "sound bath." Put some relaxing music on your stereo, then lie in a comfortable position on a couch or on the floor near the speakers. For a deeper experience, you can wear headphones to focus your attention and to avoid distraction. | |
| Choose music with a slow rhythm - slower than the natural heart beat which is about 72 beats per minute. Music that has repeating or cyclical pattern is found to be effective in most people. | |
| As the music plays, allow it to wash over you, rinsing off the stress from the day. Focus on your breathing, letting it deepen, slow and become regular. Concentrate on the silence between the notes in the music; this keeps you from analyzing the music and makes relaxation more complete. | |
| If you need a stimulation after a day of work, go for a faster music rather than slow calming music. | |
| When going gets tough, go for a music you are familiar with - such as a childhood favorite or favorite oldies. Familiarity often breeds calmness. | |
| Take walks with your favorite music playing on the walkman. Inhale and exhale in tune with the music. Let the music takes you. This is a great stress reliever by combining exercise (brisk walk), imagery and music. | |
| Listening to the sounds of nature, such as ocean waves or the calm of a deep forest, can reduce stress. Try taking a 15- to 20-minute walk if you're near the seashore or a quiet patch of woods. If not, you can buy tapes of these sounds in many music stores. |
Although her comeback looks like it’s well underway, it looks like Britney Spears may be headed to trial next month - for driving without a valid license.
Brit’s lawyer said the matter is set to be tried before a jury due to unfavorable “special treatment” by prosecutors and a judge. But don’t expect to see Spears in and out of court (a la Paris Hilton). Because the violation is a misdemeanor, Spears is not required to attend the trial.
Her attorney has repeatedly argued that the singer is being treated more harshly than other people under similar circumstances. He said under normal circumstances, Spears should be allowed to pay a $10 fine and not face criminal prosecution. He said Thursday that Los Angeles Superior Court Judge James A. Steele cited Spears’ celebrity status during an in-chambers meeting as a reason for not reducing the case to an infraction.
If the case begins as scheduled on October 15, her lawyer said he doesn’t plan to present any witnesses or do anything more than make opening and closing arguments to jurors.
“I’m just going to sit there,” he said. If Spears is convicted, he said he will appeal that judgment.
Could get interesting!
Gwyneth Paltrow was back at home in London yesterday after some time on the road traveling through Spain for a special, “Spain…on the Road Again,” which premiers next week. She went out to Harry’s Bar in support of Jemima Khan for Azzaro Spring Fashion Lau
nch.
Her all-black ensemble was classic while still incorporating some of the latest fall trends. We love her 3/4 sleeve military-inspired pea coat and the mini-shift dress makes this especially appropriate for evening wear.
The black tights go well with her menswear booties, which finishes off the outfit with a very hip touch!
London Fashion Week got underway today so hopefully we’ll be seeing more of Gwyneth!
Prince William’s girlfriend, Kate Middleton does a pretty good job of opting for royalty-worthy clothes in her day-to-day life, but a girl’s gotta take a break!
She headed to the Day-Glo Midnight Roller Disco at London’s Renaissance Rooms with friends (that alone sounds like a blast!).
But we’re also loving her event-appropriate outfit. It’d be ridiculous as an actual fashion decision, but it definitely works for a Roller Disco party! I love the sequined top (paired with jeans and black heels, this might be able to be pulled off as an actual party night top!), the short shorts, and knee high boots with pink socks. The mish-mash of color and funky reflects the fun atmosphere of the night.

Nearly 100 people lined up outside the theater where Katie Holmes was making her Broadway debut - but they weren’t all well-wishers! About 30 Scientology protesters also showed up to voice their opinions about the stars’ religion.
They stood behind a barricade and loudly chanted “Scientology kills!” Some wore masks like in the movie “V for Vendetta,” and one poster read: “FREE KATIE.”But that wasn’t the only drama - Katie performed on Broadway (in Arthur Miller’s All My Sons) for the first time and drew out a number of Hollywood stars. Hubby Tom Cruise was in the crowd, of course, along with Dustin Hoffman.
“All My Sons” centers on businessman Joe Keller (John Lithgow) whose factory supplied defective cylinder parts to the military, resulting in the deaths of 21 pilots during World War II. Yet it was his business partner who went to jail for the mistake.
Dianne Wiest plays Keller’s wife; Patrick Wilson his idealistic son; and Holmes the son’s fiancee and daughter of Keller’s disgraced partner.
Though Jessica Biel spent the better part of a decade hopping from one successful project to another and has three films awaiting release, she is dipping her figurative toe into the music world.
But rather than sincerely immersing herself in the new undertaking, it sounds like Biel has essentially handed off the majority of the work to melody mastermind Justin Timberlake.
He was the one who encouraged her transition from in front the camera to the recording studio, and he’ll no doubt be the one to bump her to the top of the charts.
“Justin’s written and produced the best part of an entire album for Jessica,” AngryApe.com quoted an insider as saying.
In addition to practically penning his girlfriend’s musical debut, “…he’s provided backing vocals on most of the tracks…” as a way of ensuring that his fans become her fans.
Meanwhile, Timberlake hasn’t released an LP since 2006’s FutureSex/LoveSounds. By the time Jessica’s album drops, another year will have slipped past. When can we expect some fresh material??

The reunited New Kids On The Block held their first concert in 14 years at the Air Canada Center in Toronto, Thursday.
When asked about the group’s first concert, singer Danny Wood said: “It was beyond anything I can describe. If there is anything that can surpass living a dream, it is right now.”
The crowd liked the show. In fact, one fan got so excited that she threw her bra right in John McIntyre’s face (!), according to online reports, that is.

Lindsay Lohan may not be too discriminating in her choice of partners, but she apparently has some scruples… well.. some recently aquired scruples. Apparently, according to ShowBis reports, Lindsay turned down an opportunity to pose for Playboy..
The Star of Mean Girls (not to mentioned her nearly illiterate blog) was apparently approached by Playboy magnate Hefner to be exposed for the 55th anniversary edition of the Playboy Mag.
The proposal followed some fairly… provocative … photos taken for New York magazine earlier this year.
“If there’s nudity, the answer is no. She’s not going down that road again,” a representative for Lohan responded.
